The 12th Annual EMAAN Awards celebrates educational excellence with the help of Premier Alison Redford

EMAAN – means faith in Arabic, but it is also an acronym for the Edmonton Muslim Achievement Awards Night, which hosts its 12^th annual celebration on May 10. EMAAN recognizes and awards the educational achievements of Edmonton’s Muslim youth ranging from junior high to university. Awards are given for academic achievement, community service achievements, and in arts.

Two key attendees include Premier Alison Redford and Mayor Stephen Mandel. Premier Redford will be featured as the keynote speaker and hand out awards to some of Edmonton’s brightest youth, including the award for top community service.

Over 250 students applied for EMAAN this year and EMAAN continues to grow year over year. Information about tickets and the event can be found at www.emaan.ca/edmonton.

The event takes place at 6:00PM May 10^th at the Ramada Conference Center located at 11834 Kingsway Avenue.
